PLAYER BIO:

My name is Casey Shorter and this is my first year with the DistinXion program. I choose Distinxion based on the mentors and coaches positively developing each player to be their personal best. I love it because we are one big family but each player has their own player development for success and goals to achieve. The positive atmosphere keeps me motivated. My goal on the court is to play my each game with confidence and hard work and to help my team achieve every goal and continue to develop my skills as a player. Off the court, I want to continue my career in sports in college. I want to be a role model for younger kids and teach them that they too can achieve anything they set their minds on. I want to keep God first in my life and to always believe in myself. I want to continue to put in the hard work so that I can achieve my athletic career dreams of either playing Basketball or Softball for the University of Alabama or Florida University and attend Law School. My dream job would be to be a successful lawyer, while I have my own bakery and be a pastor of my church. In my free time I like to play sports, ride my horse attend youth group at church, travel with my family and make videos of preaching on the Bible verses. I bake almost every night and create new cupcakes, cake pops or cake while listening to worship music. My family always has Desert.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even the youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 40:29-31
