PLAYER BIO:

My name is Ashleigh Blankenship, and this is my second year with DistinXion. I chose DistinXion because it is a faith based program and I have heard positive feedback from other people about what a great program it is. I also think it will be a great fit for me to learn and improve my basketball skills. I love the positive and supportive atmosphere. I love that the coaches are interested in and supportive of me both on and off of the court. I also love the new teammates that DistinXion has brought me and the friendships I've formed. My ultimate goal within basketball is to play D1 college basketball. In high school, I would like to win a sectional championship. Helping my teammates and being a positive leader are also goals of mine for on the court. Off the court, I would love to push myself academically. I want to keep taking honors classes and maintain my 4.0 GPA. I also want to keep playing multiple sports so I can be a well-rounded athlete. After high school, I would love to go to college and pursue an academic career. I would love to go in the field of broadcasting or telecommunications. My dream job would be a Professional Sports Reporter. In my free time, I love staying active. In the summer, I enjoy swimming, hanging out with my friends, and spending time at Kentucky Lake. Fun fact: I have been white water rafting in Jamaica.
