April Settles

Development Coach

April is entering her second year as a women’s development coach with the DistinXion Champions Program. At WRV, she is entering her fourth year as High School varsity girls soccer coach & her third year as High School varsity girls basketball coach. For the past ten years, April has led the WRV girls Biddy Ball program and coached at various levels within the program. She has also been the WRV girls Junior High soccer coach for the past five years.

As a four-year starter at White River Valley, April won two Sectional Championships, two Regional Championships, one Semi-State Championship, and was on the 2001 State Runner-Up team. She was also named the Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award winner at the State Finals.

Following high school, April was a Presidential Scholar and played basketball at the University of Southern Indiana, where she received her degree in Accounting & Professional Services in 2005. She currently resided in Lyons, IN and am the CFO at Daviess Community Hospital. April coaches both at WRV and DistinXion with her husband, Matt. She also has two daughters in the program, Molly and Maddy.
