PLAYER BIO: 

My name is Nick Koons and I chose DistinXion because multiple reasons. My first reason was that I played with the program last year and enjoyed it very much. Meeting lots of new people and becoming a family with a lot of them was great. Another reason I decided to stay with the program is the leadership building and the religion part of it. No other program I have heard of takes the time to help us out in other ways outside of basketball like DistinXion does and I think it's really amazing. A major goal of mine is to make it to the college level. Playing collegiate basketball is something I've always dreamed of doing so that is my number one goal with basketball. Outside of basketball I want to continue my high school career at Rising Sun. I aspire and will continue to work on keeping my 4.0 GPA and building up people around me. After high school I'd like to attend a college (undecided on which one) and as of right now I am planning on going into teaching. I've always felt a calling and need to work with people and kids and I believe I would be a huge impact on a lot of kid's lives if I were a teacher. Outside of basketball I enjoy hunting, fishing, trapping, running, eating, hanging out with my friends and family, and spending time with my girlfriend. A fun fact about me is that I'm allergic to Guinea Pigs.
