Positively Different Training
DistinXion C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. Players will have a number of training opportunities to improve both on and off the court. These include our unique Training Camps, workouts and information sessions with Force Fitness, and our custom Core 5 take-home skills workout.

DistinXion C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. players will have 11 Training Camps throughout the summer. Training Camps will be held on non-tournament weekends and allow players to focus more on individual development both on and off the court. Training Camps will be an all day occasion (likely 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) that includes a morning session, a lunch break, a speed and agility session with Force Fitness, and an afternoon session. The morning session will put players through an array of segments all focused on individual skill development (described below). Players will then transition to a full-contact afternoon that includes 3v3 breakdowns, team defense segments, scrimmaging, and more.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT SEGMENTS
Leadership Development: Each week, players will get the opportunity to participate in a 30-minute leadership segment focused on providing valuable lessons to players about how they can develop as leaders on and off the court. DistinXion utilizes the "Habitudes" curriculum which provides insightful videos and lesson plans regarding leadership development for young athletes.
Position-Specific Skill Development: For a number of morning segments, players will be divided by position for intensive skill development. Each group will be put through an assortment of position-specific drills starting with the fundamentals, and progressing to new and challenging concepts. These segments are designed to challenge a player's skill set, and give them tools they can use in game situations.
Classroom Sessions: Players will also have the opportunity to learn and grow in a classroom setting. This will be a 30-45 minute "flex segment" throughout the summer, providing opportunities to:
Watch film, both their own film from Training Camps and tournaments and film from collegiate/NBA teams. This is a great opportunity for players to study our offensive sets and defensive schemes, as well as study fundamental offensive and defensive breakdowns.
Listen in on Force Fitness info sessions that provide knowledge on athlete nutrition, stress management for athletes, safety and form in the weight room, injury prevention, the importance of rest and sleep, etc.
Learn about other subjects relevant to young athletes/women including college preparation, professionalism, academics, NCAA player and recruitment regulations, and many more.
Shooting Development: Players will have time that is solely focused on shooting -- form, confidence, and consistency. One Training Camp will consist of filming each player's shot to help coaches break down form and give advice. In Training Camps that follow, players here will begin with form shooting progressions and move into drills to help with shot consistency and confidence.
Situational Breakdowns Session: This segment gives players the opportunity to learn and drill through different offensive and defensive breakdowns. The focus of this segment changes from week to week, giving coaches the opportunity to help players with advanced principles like pick and roll offense/defense, court spacing, shell defense, how to run a 2-man game, and much more.
Force Fitness - At each Training Camp, players will also get to participate in a session with certified Force Fitness trainers. These sessions consist of speed and agility work, strength training, jump training, and dynamic stretching exercises.
Force Fitness Training Nights
Through a partnership with Force Fitness, DistinXion C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. players will get an exclusive reduced-price deal to participate in week-night training sessions at Force Fitness's one of kind gym in Bloomington. These sessions will be offered both during the C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. season (summer) and in the Fall. All C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S. players will be welcome to join these sessions to dive deeper into strength, speed, and agility training. Core 5 is a custom-made skills workout that players are able to take home and complete throughout the week. The Core 5 is a 30-45 minute workout that aims to cover all areas of a player's basketball development. DistinXion also provides Core 5 Trackers that give players the ability to record their scores/times with the Core 5 drills and track their improvement throughout the summer.
